I read a signature tonight. It said "There's only one now. Be it."

It made me think of what a friend told me.
He said he would always be happy. "The simple minded are blessed that way."

Some friend, right. He feeds me this line of shit I can't begin to understand at the time, but now, a few days later, I can't help but wonder. . .

"Who the fuck am I!"

The age old question. DUH!, I am ME for crying out loud. I don't need anyone to tell me that, or do I. And there I go again, questioning my self. And for what? Why in the hell do I put my self through all this shit? I get nothing out of doubting my own ability and character. I am a freakin' person, just like you.

No better, no worse.

But still, there you are, in the corner of my head, pushing me to be more than I am today. To be that ONE you told me I could be all that time ago. But how did you know, what makes you so damn special? Every day I find my self getting closer to who I think I want to be, but I have no idea what to do when I become that person. Its not becoming that person I'm afraid of, its how do I live my life as her if shes not me?

I am scared to spread my wings and fly. Where might the wind take me? To a place I don't belong, or to the place I have been longing for all my life. That uncertainty kills me every time.

I just don't want to lose my self on the quest to find my self.

I have been TAGGED by DecoGoddess


1. I take pictures of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING. Even though I post mostly self portraits, I really do take pictures of everything including my kids, my husband, all my family at any family gathering. I like taking pictures of flowers, trees, clouds and distant scenery.

2. I really enjoy making pottery, even though everything I make may look a bit silly, its really fun to get my hands in the clay.

3. I'm not at all a girly-girl. I love camping, canoing, mountain biking, hiking, four-wheeler riding, horse back riding. I dont mind getting my hands dirty, make-up and hair do's are so not me.

4. I have a love affair with food. I love seafood and red meat, chicken and pork. Boiled peanuts are one of my favorite things. I eat ice cream any time of year. And I am a pretty damn good cook.

5. I have been married for 7 1/2 years and have two children. Its not for everybody, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

6. I love old windows and hard wood floors, they just give a space a different feel. I love going into old buildings and just looking at the way the light comes in the windows and lights up the floor in bright blocks of sunlight.

7. I can't type worth a crap. I know that "=" is next to "bksp" . I miss that one a lot. . . .

8. My foot is the length of my arm from my elbow to my wrist. I cannot lick my elbow. I cannot raise one eyebrow or touch my tongue to my nose. My fist will NOT fit into my mouth. And contrary to popular belief and the loudness of my voice, I do not have a big mouth, my dentist said so
